The Community
I feel it would be criminal to leave out a page for the community that makes SOTH happen, its spine tingling to think of how awesome you all are. The vanlife community along with a few tents and caravans really know how to get behind something special and generally be respectful and treat everyone and everything with the same level of love and respect as they would like to receive themselves.
A fantastic example of this is the photos shown below. At SOTH23 we took a photo of the field as it stood on the run up to the festival then took a photo after 400 vans had been parked in it for the weekend. Other than the banks of portaloos still in the field you can see its perfect, this isn't because we sent an army of litter pickers into the field to clean up tonnes of waste before taking the photo, but because the community treated the stunning little Lincolnshire farm with respect and left only footprints behind.
Not only this, but they also ventures onto the bank of the Humber estuary and cleaned up rubbish left behind by others prior to the festival, meaning we didn't leave the farm as we found it, we left it better. This is the ethos of the vanlife community.
On top of that they got behind this amazing weekend and did their bit for mental health, raising awareness and money for a much needed cause.
Vanlife community thank you for being you.

We even had breakdowns, of the motor kind not the mental kind, these happened on route and in the field! However everyone made it because of the awesome community coming together and keeping everyone and everything on track. Check out these awesome people helping each other pout over the weekend.
